How to play:
Two players (or teams) take turns pitching.
Each player pitches two horseshoes per turn.
The first player to pitch is determined by a coin toss, and the order alternates after each round.
Scoring:
Ringer:2 points for completely encircling the stake.
Closer:1 point for landing within 6 inches of the stake (without encircling).
If both shoes are closer than the opponent's, 2 points are awarded.
Leaning:1 point in professional play, 2 points in amateur play.
Dead ringer: If both players throw a ringer in the same round, neither counts for points but is recorded for statistical purposes.
Winning:The first player to reach 21 points wins the game.
